We are pleased to introduce you to the “Konkamoya Lodge” as our newest partner from Zambia, Kafue National Park, since November 2018. Nestled on the banks of the Itezhi-Tezhi Lake in the southern Kafue National Park in the heart of Zambia. Konkamoya Lodge (which in the Nianja language means “Follow the wind”) consists of only 4 luxurious brand-new safari tents, which are currently under construction, and can accommodate up to a maximum of 10 guests, allowing them an intimate experience with nature. Konkamoya Lodge is open from June to end of November each year, which is the dry season in Zambia.
Surrounded by mahogany, ebony and baobab tress, each of the 4 en-suite luxury safari tents provides guests with a place to relax. One family tents sleeps up to 4 guests, 2 adults and max. 2 children. The minimum child age is 8 years. The camp is solar powered, minimizing its impact on the wild environment that surrounds it. All of the tents are facing eastwards, offering a magnificent view of the lake and the gorgeous African sunrise. There are two Lapas in the lodge, which welcome guests for breakfast and long communal dinners as well as tea on return from safaris.
The Ngoma airstrip is only 20 minutes driving from the lodge. Lusaka and Livingstone are each about a 5 hours drive away. Transfers can be organized.
