Kwando Safaris has announced that the rebuilt Kwara camp will re-open on 1. September 2019. The new camp with a total of 9 tents on the same place as its predecessor will have much larger and more luxurious tents in an authentic African safari style. The 175,000 hectare Kwara Concession is considered one of the most wildlife private safari areas on the edge of the Okavango Delta, exclusively offering Kwando Safaris guests a full range of activities, including guided off-road safaris, on foot, by boat or onboard in the mokoro. An unforgettable nature experience amidst nearly untouched wilderness.
The main area of the camp, which will sit in the centre of the camp, will have a dining area, lounge and curio shop. Kwara will also have 2 small pool areas at each end of the camp providing guests with more private lounge areas. Like other Kwando properties, Kwara offers a digital detox experience (no wifi, no cell phone connectivity) allowing our guests to truly enjoy and embrace the natural setting of the camp. All activities will be accompanied by a guide and tracker. We will operate game drives (off-road and at night), walking safaris, mokoros, boat cruises, and seasonal fishing. The site is still 15 minutes from the Kwara airstrip.
The age limit for Kwara is a minimum of 18 years of age and there are no family rooms. (These are available at Splash). Kwara must be booked for a stay of minimum 3 nights.
