Good news: Namibia is open without mandatory quarantine and Eurowings, Ethiopian Airlines und Air Namibia are planning to resume flights from Frankfurt from mid-September 👍🏻!
The entry regulations have been changed as follows:
1) After arrival at Windhoek International Airport (a negative CV19 test is required), tourists are free to travel to their first pre-booked destination and participate in all activities. A minimum stay is no longer required!
2) On the 5th day, the travelers need to be tested for Covid 19, despite the already provided negative test upon arrival. All tourists have to provide their whereabouts on the 5th travel day to the Namibian authorities.
3) The tourists must be reachable on day seven to receive the results of the test.
If the result is negative, the tourists are free from any further surveillance.
Now we only need the EU to lift the travel warnings fro Namibia, then international tourism can finally restart ✊🏻. In a country with over twice the size of Germany, with only 2,5 Mio inhabitants and very low infection rates, Namibia surely is one of the safest countries in the world to get away from all the Corona stress in Europe!
