O&L Leisure Hotels & Lodges are using the unfortunately still low demand for various renovations in their iconic Strand Hotel, situated in prime location on the Swakopmund pier, in 2 phases from August 2nd, 2021. First and foremost, the ventilation, cooling and heating technology in all parts of the hotel will be optimized, all rooms, suites and public areas will receive cosmetic repairs and the Farmhouse Deli Restaurant will receive new floors. Noise disturbance for guests is to be expected only minimally.
The first phase of the renovation is from August 2nd to probably November 30th 2021 – the second phase then from January 15th to probably March 31st, 2022. During this time, the hotel always operates with a capacity of 75 rooms (out of a total of 125) .
With the renovation O&L Leisure underlines its own claim to further consolidate the market position of the 4 star superior hotel as the best hotel in town. With its 3 first-class restaurants with sea views, including an own beer microbrewery, the Strand Hotel is also an extremely popular meeting point for all locals and tourists in town.
