We are delighted to announce, that we will take over the representation of “Lalibela Game Reserve” from June 2023 as their new representatives for German speaking and Benelux Europe.
A beautiful 10,500 hectare private game reserve, only 1 hour northeast of Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha) in the Eastern Cape, that offers 6 small, individual safari lodges or private villas in the 4* and 5* segment at a very good price-performance ratio.
The Lalibela Game Reserve with its lodges is a non-profit enterprise of the owner Caroline Heinz, who has been able to expand the reserve since 2017 by purchasing additional land and has greatly increased the animal population. The primary goal of her foundation is sustainable nature and animal conservation including anti poaching units, animal research projects, as well as the support of the local population.
The malaria-free reserve is home to the “Big 5” as well as a variety of animal and bird species and has the highest animal density in the Eastern Cape due to a very lush grass savannah vegetation. Over 400 buffalo roam the area alone and safaris in open jeeps offer first class game viewing. Lalibela is ideal at the beginning or end of a round trip along the Garden Route to/from Cape Town.
The lodges at a glance:
Kichaka Lodge: A luxury 5* colonial style lodge with 10 suites with private pools, spa, gym, boma, top cuisine and only a maximum of 6 guests per safari vehicle, children allowed from 16 years old.
Mills Manor: A 5* colonial style villa for exclusive use with 5 rooms, pool, boma, own vehicle with ranger, own private chef and service staff, ideal for large families or group of friends, children of all ages allowed.
Lentaba Lodge: A classic, comfortable 4* bush lodge with 10 rooms, pool, boma, children from 12 years.
Mark’s Camp: A 4* lodge especially designed for families with children with 8 rooms – 4 x double and 4 family rooms (for max. 18 adults and 8 children), with 2 pools, boma, child care, children of all ages are welcome here.
Tree Tops Lodge: A small 4* tented camp situated above a green valley among tall trees, with only 5 rooms, with pool, indoor and outdoor dining area, children from 16 years.
Inzolo Lodge: A modern, very private 4* lodge situated in a valley, with only 4 rooms and spacious public areas, pool, ideal for exclusive use but can also be booked individually, children from 16 years allowed.
Price includes 2 safaris per day, all meals, drinks (except premium wines or spirits). Guided Bush Walks are offered as an option. Own arrival by rental car possible without any problems. Transfers from/to zip code can be booked additionally.
