Madikwe Game Reserve has introduced a Guest Conservation Levy of ZAR 150 per adult, per night and ZAR 75 per child under 12 years, per night. This levy is effective since 1 August 2017 and supports with 100% the private conservation and anti poaching efforts of all Madikwe Lodges.

After a long drought fire raged on the Garden Route on 7th June 2017. The fire in Knysna was the largest and most destructive fire ever in a built up area in the Western Cape, and has left thousands of residents displaced. Unfortunately the Knysna Hollow Hotel was also almost completely destroyed by the fire. Fortunately no-one got harmed, the hotel was insured and Seasons In Africa already started with the reconstruction and the re-opening is planned for 31 October 2018 .

The renowned White Pearl Resort on the south coast of Mozambique has extended two attractive specials during standard season and improved its accessibility with additional flight options. Book for 6-nights or more and receive a complimentary return Sky and Road transfer. Book 5 nights and receive a complimentary 1 night’s stay. The validity of the specials “Access On Us” and “Stay 5 pay 4” have been extended until End of 2018 and are only valid during standard season, excluding Low or Peak Seasons. “Stay 5 pay 4” is now valid during Low Season. The Summer-Special is valid over the period 1. December and 28. February, excluding Peak Season. The Resort will also offer an additional 20% on the agreed STO and two kids under 12 years stay free when sharing with parents. For bookings 180 days prior to arrival 2018 the “Early Beard Special” is valid with a 10% discount on the overnight rate. The “Early Bird Special” is also valid for bookings until 31 August 2018 in conjunction with a stay in 2019.

Seasons In Africa added a new Helicopter “Bell Long Ranger” (6-seats) to their fleet, besides their “Jet Ranger Helicopter” (4-seats),  to operate scenic flights, transfers and charters in the beautiful Mpumalanga Lowveld region.

The fabulous new luxury boutique hotel “The Old Rectory”, which belongs to the portfolio of Rare Earth Retreats, opened its doors as planned on 15th August 2017. Centrally located in Plettenberg Bay, just 50 meters off the beach, the historical main building is the oldest surviving building of the city, dating back to 1777 which was later used as a rectory by the Anglican church until the present rectory was built in 1939.
