Lalibela Game Reserve
The Lalibela Game Reserve with its lodges is a beautiful 10,500 hectare private game reserve, just 1 hour northeast of Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha) in the Eastern Cape, that offers 6 small, individual safari lodges or private villas in the 4* and 5* segment at a very good price offers value for money. The malaria-free reserve is home to a large number of animal and bird species in addition to the “Big 5” and has the highest animal density in the Eastern Cape due to a very lush grass savannah vegetation. Over 400 buffalo alone roam the area and open 4×4 safaris offer prime game viewing. Lalibela is ideal at the beginning or end of a round trip along the Garden Route to/from Cape Town.
The price includes 2 safaris per day, all meals, drinks (except premium wines or spirits). Guided bush walks are offered as an option. Own arrival by rental car easily possible. Transfers from/to the postal code can also be booked.
Lentaba Lodge
Lentaba, the “lodge on the hillside”, sleeps 20 people in ten secluded thatched chalets (5 luxury and 5 classic), placed where magnificent indigenous gardens merge into the surrounding bush. Each en-suite unit has a private observation deck to make the most of the views over the valley bushveld. The rooms at Lentaba are nicely spread out and each room has great views of the valley below.
