Mateya Safari Lodge is situated in the spectacular 75 000 hectare malaria- free Madikwe Game Reserve. Extensive plains, which slope in a north–easterly direction towards the Marico River, characterize the reserve. Madikwe Game Reserve is home to the super 7: Buffalo, cheetah, elephant, leopard, lion, rhino (black and white) and wild dog. In addition to which there are brown hyena, sable, eland and large herds of plains game as well as over 350 bird species. 5 Individually designed luxury thatched suites all nestled in the Gabbro Hills, offering spectacular views of a waterhole and plains up to the Tweedepoort Escarpment. The lodge caters for a maximum of 10 guests. Dining, lounge and relaxation areas with high elevation views of the reserve.
