Since we partnered with Etosha Heights Private Reserve in Namibia in 2017, we have committed to converting it from an agricultural and hunting area to a thriving wildlife area, supporting endangered species and high-standard, long-term research. The proceeds of tourism-generated revenue from our lodges have assisted in the reserve’s conservation effort.
The impact has been healthier wildlife populations of threatened and endangered species including black and white rhino.
Over the past 5 years the reserve has seen a significant increase in both variety and density of wildlife to the point where the wildlife populations are now an extension to the adiacent Etosha National Park and the game watching opportunities for visitors are exceptional.

In May 2023, Natural Selection will open “Duke’s East”, a small sister camp to “Duke’s Camp” in the game-rich and water-rich private concession “NG12” in the northern Okavango Delta, Botswana.
For more than 30 years, Jack’s Camp has been an icon of African safaris, pioneering under-canvas luxury on the fringes of Botswana’s ethereal Makgadikgadi Pans. This year the adventurous spirit of Jack Bousfield ventures into new territory, with the early June opening of Duke’s Camp in the magical wilderness of the northern Okavango Delta. While Jack’s has long taken its cue from the desert, Duke’s Camp draws its inspiration from the crystal-clear channels of the Okavango Delta, which wind sinuously around this permanent camp.
